We thought it was due time for a little room tour! Welcome to our first floor half bath, where we fully live up to our blog name with an awesome science theme. It, like the rest of our house, is only halfway decorated (it needs paint, a mirror, and curtains, which we’ll be getting around to eventually). We’re sharing it anyway, because if we waited until everything was done to show you our house, you’d never get to see it.

We found this perfect aqua one from Livingston and Porter.
Here’s a peak of the before of the bathroom. Our new camera lens, while awesome, doesn’t zoom in or out. This makes photographing far away in tiny spaces difficult. So you’ll have to deal with the before to get a feel for how the teeny tiny bathroom is laid out.
I love love love the scale. Poppy’s girlfriend Bev (Poppy = my grandpa) works in a lab, and she brought us home some equipment they weren’t going to use anymore. How thoughtful is that! I would have paid more than $50 for that in an antique store, so I’m so very grateful. I also love that the name of our neighborhood hospital is etched into the scale. On the scale is microscope slides from our friend Matt and toilet paper (because one of the kids lost the springy thing that holds the TP onto the TP dispenser).

No science decorated room would be complete without beakers and flasks! They were collected locally over time from antique shops and from Etsy shops, including Accent on Vintage. These are sitting on a tray behind the toilet. I’m going to have to move them as soon as Jonas learns how to open doors. (Eliza broke my cool big flask last week. Sad face.)
We like the science stuff that boarders on creepy. I really want a body part chart or a human heart model. This frog dissection model from One Cosy Nest will do for now. Eliza likes taking him apart and putting him back together. Nerdy puzzle!
The only art in there right now is this Albert Einstein Eye Chart Print, which was made by an Etsy seller that sadly has closed up shop. It’s hanging over le toilette. I love the quote! It describes our family outlook well.

That’s our science bathroom! I can’t wait to move on to the next phase of decorating in there, but I love it as it is anyway. I’m not lying when I say that our aesthetic is 8th grade classroom. We need to feel like we’re in school all the time!
